A dream is born: to boost creativity in Mexico.

The project consolidates. At first, the earliest distributed products focused on crafts, brushes, and painting books.

1981
New stretcher bars are added to the catalog, along with international brands such as Conté and Talens.

1987
We acquire the formula for Atl oil paints, created by Gerardo Murillo and Jorge Durán.

1990
We acquire the formula for Politec acrylic paint, created in 1956 by José Luis Gutiérrez.

1994
The quality of our brushes becomes renowned in Mexico’s art sector. Modernizing manufacturing also allows us to increase production.

1995
An automated filling line for Politec acrylic paint opens, capable of producing 10,000 liters per day.

2000
International brands with the best new releases and innovations in the industry join our catalog.

2008
The second distribution platform opens in Monterrey.

2010
The third distribution platform opens in Guadalajara.

2012
We launch the first Rodin Art Contest call for professional and amateur artists, with 72 works registered.

2015
A key year: the biggest expansion in our history comes to life, bringing innovative international brands to Mexico that transform the creative experience. A leap toward the future that redefines our purpose.

We open our fourth distribution platform—and our first in Europe.

Good things come in fives: we open our first distribution platform in Central America—the fifth for Distribuidora Rodin.
